TRAI overlooks the telecom as well as satellite entertainment services and broadband services in India.
The TRAI has given new rules for all the DTH cable service providers like Tata Sky, Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV (ADTV), Videocon D2H, Reliance Digital TV (RDTV), JIO DTH, Sun Direct, DD Direct+ etc.
Now we all know how important TVs are in India. The TV is not just an electronic gadget but an integral part of the family, therefore, people are really apprehensive what these new rules mean for them.
So let us dive into what is all this fuss about the new rules and how will it affect the common man.
The New Rules Are As Follows:
According to TRAI’s statement, a new regulation is going to be effective from 1st of February 2019. As per the new rules, the bundle channel packaging system will not exist as a concept like sports, entertainment, etc. A person will have to select their own choice of channels and services and pay for only those channels. In accordance with the above regulation, you will now see the price of every individual channel alongside its name. For the consumers it is a good deal, on the other hand, DTH recharge apps will have to adapt quickly.
